In a few weeks, I'm going on a honeymoon trip to Rome (all part of a plan to indoctrinate the fiancee and make her a full-fledged Romanista) and have a few questions that I can't seem to find answers to on the internet.
-I was wondering if Stadio Olimpico offers tours. This is one where I've found conflicting answers. I know that the San Siro does and a few others around Italy.
-Which of the many AS Roma stores is the biggest/best one to get some gear? The shipping to the US is so expensive, I've been waiting to splurge a little.
-We'll be there at the beginning of August (honeymoon planned before the announced US tour). This likely means Roma won't be playing any friendlies while we are there, but does anyone know of Serie A friendlies in general during this time? If not, where would be a good place to check closer to August? This is my 3rd trip to Italy and I have never had the pleasure of viewing Italian football in person. I feel like most teams who aren't traveling abroad will have some warmups planned in early August (as the season starts on the 25th).
-Is Trigoria worth visiting? Or will there not be much to see (especially not being in season)? I've had a few people tell me they've gone before and it was a good experience, but others have said the opposite.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!
