Matteo Destro's Financial Officials

Pain, suffering and lots and lots of gold bullion. That's what Mattia Destro cost.

In real life terms, it's more a valuation of €19m (serious) no one really knows, with €11.5m for his loan and €4.5m in case they want to buy him outright at the end of the season. Maybe. Just maybe. (Italian financials. Whistle and walk away. Just walk away.) Genoa will also receive co-ownerships of Valerio Verre (heading to Siena on loan) and Giammario Piscitella for €1.5m apiece*, bringing the sum total to, once again, nineteen million euros. Nineteen. That's €1.36m per Serie A goal. someone might know now. (Which means the two guys logic would dictate - mind you, logic rules not in Rome, much less under Zeman - fighting for one spot in the lineup will cost €30m, while the defense will be slapped together for the princely outlay of 12 yen and a chalupa.)

Matteo will make €Lessthanhewould'veatJuvemillion, which is precisely how he'll file his taxes. He's inked until 2017.

* - To Roma. I fluffed that bit up. €1.5m to Roma for each, so €3m total, dropping the price down to €13m for Destro, which is far more reasonable. Thanks to TuJefa for straightening me out. The rest still stands, however - that defense is a sinkhole.
