Match Reviews

Nainggolan Vanquishes the Viola

By defeating Fiorentina 1-0, not only did Roma make it eight wins in a row, but they established a new club record with 25 victories on the year, AND booked their spot in the Champions League next season, all thanks to Nainggolan's 26th minute goal.

Ljajic Looms Large in Roma's Victory over Atalanta

In a match that certainly needed it, Roma's reserves were up to the task. Thanks to goals from Rodrigo Taddei and Adem Ljajic, Roma defeated Atalanta 3-1, running off their seventh straight victory.

Mattia's Matinee: Destro 3, Cagliari 1

Thanks to a trio of goals from Mattia Destro, Roma exorcised their Sardinian demons, defeating Cagliari on their ground for the first time since 1995.

Roma Pushes Parma Aside

In a six goal thriller, Roma came out on top thanks to goals from Gervinho, Miralem Pjanic, Francesco Totti and Rodrigo Taddei.

Roma Sinks Sassuolo

It didn't take much, but Roma was able to capitalize on two crucial Sassuolo turnovers to sink the Neroverdi 2-0, temporarily increasing their lead over third place Napoli to nine points.

Florenzi Rescues Roma

Roma were rescued by one of their own tonight. Thanks to a 91st minute stoppage time goal, Alessandro Florenzi ushered Roma to its third straight win.

'Wet Beards'

Roma's bearded forwards made the most of their first half chances in an otherwise quite uneventful match.

Roma Defeats Udinese...Barely

Thanks to heroics from Morgan De Sanctis, Roma, in match they nearly coughed up late, escaped with a 3-2 victory over Udinese.

Roma Not Enough Against Napoli

On the surface, Roma's makeshift lineup did enough to conquer Napoli on this evening but were ultimately done in by poor passing, poor spacing and simple inexperience.

Going Nowhere Fast

No one wants to be 'friend-zoned' this time of year.

There was nothing pretty about this one. The best sign of a good side is the ability to win in difficult circumstances. With a fullback injury crisis and fashion nightmare of a kit combination, Roma were able to do just that.

Full Bloom

Our favourite couple helped Roma get back to what they're known for; dominating the opposition in every facet of the match.

Succeeding in Silence

Playing in front of a depleted home crowd, Rudi Garcia's men made all the noise this match needed, disposing of Sampdoria in an easy, breezy 3-0 victory.

Loss #2

Napoli finally defeat Roma in Derby del Sole. They deserved it, we didn't. Not like we wanted to win it anyway, right?

Like a football manager who lost his toupee, something was missing. For Roma, it was the final pass connecting with the decisive shot. You know you're having a good year when draws feel worse than losses but this performance left a lot to be desired.

Va' fa Napoli!

In an entertaining five goal thriller, Roma put Rafa Benitez and his men in place for the second time this season. Oh, and Gervinho did that thing again.

Kouassi train carries Roma to within 6 of Juventus

Thanks for the perfect refereeing, but we're used to winning without it. Roma's Bradley nightmares continue as look-alike, Hallfreðsson, scares De Sanctis & co. It still was not enough to stop the Kouassi train.

Gervinho's Revenge

For a guy who often does a lot while accomplishing little, Gervinho came through in a big way when it mattered.

Roma won again.

In a scoreline that flattered the visitors, Roma put forward a confident display in a dominating victory over Livorno.

The Flying Florenzis

Led by an exquisite volley from the feet of Alessandro Florenzi, Roma put on a nearly flawless display defeating Genoa 4-0.

Destination: Earth

Well that escalated quickly.

Venting About Juventus

We'll put a more succinct and appropriate cap on Roma's first loss of the season later, but for now, come on in and vent away.

Benatia Bullies Catania

He may be a central defender, but today, he was Roma's talisman. Mehdi Benatia's two headed goals highlighted a 4-0 romp over Catania.

The Problems Remain The Same

Roma went at Milan with a flawed setup from the start and the predictable happened.

Dawn of The Destro

His return may have been brief, but it was instrumental. In his first match since May, Mattia Destro delivered the game winner over Fiorentina.

Part IV Of Something.

Roma played out to a fourth straight draw on the back of ten straight wins. Those draws have placed a bit of light where Roma wants none.
