Cesena v Roma

This match means nothing more than final placement, with nary a career in giallorosso to be determined by a Serie B club on the last day. Neither loanee nor youngster nor octogenarian will have their fate change one way or the other, barring a 14 goal 'plosion by Jose Angel or the like. There is to certainly be a post season assessment, but ninety minutes do remain to enjoy the aesthetic appeal of the vision of a man who was, from beginning to end, a credit to the crest. A great man, a burgeoning mister.

As ever, enjoy ninety minutes more minutes of Roma until the summer's dusk, but moreover, if I do dare say...

A quiet week of panic here. The moist, blood red eyes of Francesco Totti in the Catania postgame frightened me, as they may have simply been the eyes of a season's objectives lost, but one must also wonder if they're the eyes of a man who'd just played his last home game. Perhaps simply the inevitable terror of each moment he steps off the pitch at this stage, but...

Would he? Unlikely, but never a moment taken for granted.
