The latest turn on the coaching carousel will see Zdenek Zeman meet with Roma directors tomorrow to discuss the managerial vacancy. Zeman is hoping to get a clearer picture for the size and scope of the Roma project, as well as the teams current marketing strategies, with a potential deal coming as soon as Wednesday.

Roma have been after Zeman for nearly 10 days now, says Pescara Director of Sport, Daniele Delli Carri:

The Coach has received several different offers, from what we can tell. I always said we only risked losing him to Roma, as along with Pescara that club is his greatest love

Zdenek Zeman, the 65-year old Czech, who recently guided Pescara back to Serie A, not to mention the Serie B title, was the headman for Roma from 1997-1999. Zeman has extensive experience in Serie A and is best known for his affinity for the 4-3-3.

Delli Carri went on to say, " I think if he did go to Roma, Zeman could do something remarkable"

Before the remarkable can occur, a deal must be made....more news to follow.

UPDATES (5/28/12)

A few quotes from Sabatini indicate that, at this point, its a two man race between Zeman and Bielsa, with a decision expected in three to four days.

Says Walter:

We’ve spoken to a number of Coaches and that includes Bielsa...But there is a good chance that Zeman will arrive. He would represent a sign of continuity seeing as his football is similar to that of Luis Enrique.

He also continued on to say that Montella, while an excellent candidate, was never their first choice. Sabatini also denied having any contact with AVB.

All signs point to Zeman having the edge over Bielsa and one can expect the roster moves will come fast and furious once an official appointment is made. As always, stay tuned
