The young get younger. Reports in both the English and Italian media indicate that Roma have secured 50% of Nicola Bellomo's rights from Bari, for the sum of €2m. Bellomo will remain with Bari through the remainder of this season, joining Roma over the summer.

Bellomo, soon to be 22 years old, is a 5'8'' (1.74m) tall, right footed attacking midfielder who made his professional debut with his hometown club in 2009. Bellomo has six goals and five assists in 20 Serie B appearances this season, he has also appeared with both the U-19 and U-21 Italian national teams.

Roma beat out the likes of both Milan and Inter to secure the services of Bellomo, who is yet another talented, young midfielder in Roma's portfolio.

So stay tuned, Bellomo will be one to watch for this summer. In the meantime, feel free to start your Cassano comparisons.

Update: Now that the Coppa Italia has been pushed off to April, Inter needed another war to wage with Roma. They've stepped in and thrown a wrench into the finalization of the deal.
