Well, depending on where you're reading this, you either woke up early, stayed up late, or delayed the days chores, but the match has been officially called off. But, taking one look at the pitch conditions pre-match probably makes you wonder why they even kicked off to begin with:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23RomaParma&src=hash">#RomaParma</a>: the players are on the field warming up <a href="http://t.co/pN11vkvIMB">pic.twitter.com/pN11vkvIMB</a></p>— A.S. As you can see below, there wasn't much improvement after 10 minutes of play, leading De Marco to temporarily suspend the match, removing the players from the pitch, with a visual inspection to follow some 30-45 minutes later.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Referee De Marco has suspended the game: the rain has made the pitch unplayable <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23RomaParma&src=hash">#RomaParma</a> <a href="http://t.co/RjwLk0ciss">pic.twitter.com/RjwLk0ciss</a></p>— A.S. Which was then, of course, called off completely:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23RomaParma&src=hash">#RomaParma</a>: game rescheduled to date to be decided</p>— A.S. However, with so much on the line--for both sides, really, remember Parma is chasing a Europa League spot--Morgan De Sanctis sums it up quite nicely:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23RomaParma&src=hash">#RomaParma</a> Gk Morgan De Sanctis told ref: "I won't gamble with the Scudetto on a waterlogged pitch."</p>— footballitalia (@footballitalia) <a href="https://twitter.com/footballitalia/statuses/429983618899800064">February 2, 2014</a></blockquote>

Well, that's it for now, this is literally the only match suspended in all of Italy today. Good news for the midweek Coppa Italia semi-final I suppose, but inevitably, this will clog the schedule at an even more critical juncture.
