Happy Birthday Kevin Strootman!
The dutch midfielder turns 27 today. Finally healthy, Strootman has consistently stepped his game up as the season has gone on, becoming one of the most important players in the squad. Here’s to many more successful and healthy seasons as he enters the prime years of his career!
English summary: Sunday’s match wasn’t the friendliest for TGIP. First the Crotone Curva sang chants such as “Spalletti vaffanculo” and “Spalletti cut your hair”. In addition, a fan behind the Roma bench was having his own insult temper tantrum. Spalletti’s response? He stared the guy down. In the middle of the match. Bad ass.
English summary: Alessandro Florenzi is ever so close to returning to match action for AS Roma. First up? An appearance for the Primavera, most likely not against Crotone this weekend but against Frosinone or Novara in the coming weeks. A return to the senior side? The hope is for him to be available on the bench March 4th against.....Napoli. Boom.

Today: Roma 4 Palermo 1 from February 13, 2010. Yes, it is from that season where Roma got oh so close to winning the S word. Some good ol’ memories in this one: Julio Sergio in net, a brace from Matteo Brighi, a goal from everyones favorite sandwich chef, and even an appearance from a young Edinson Cavani and the always underrated Fabrizio Miccoli. Enjoy!
