Highlights of Roma Women's Victory Over Atalanta

The ladies push their unbeaten streak to five!

Yesterday wasn’t all doom and gloom on the Roma front. While the men were busy wilting at the Stadio Friuli, falling to Udinese 1-0 in a classic Roma letdown match, the ladies were staking their claim as Serie A Femminile’s hottest team. By dusting off Atalanta in a tense two-nil affair, Betty Bavagnoli’s side grabbed their third straight victory while pushing their unbeaten streak to five, putting them on level pegging with league leading AC Milan for the most inform teams in the league—and hey, wouldn’t you know it, those two sides face off in the next round.

Unfortunately, due some issues with the Roma TV feed, the first half of this match wasn’t broadcast live, so we missed Annamaria Serturini’s fifth goal, which vaulted her into a four-way tie for third in the league; she’s definitely been Roma’s most outstanding performer through their maiden Serie A season.

Martina Piemonte would grab a stoppage time goal to put the cherry on top of this victory, and I’ve said this virtually every week, this team is compact, efficient and clinical; they’re an absolute joy to watch.
