Roma’s 2018-2019 Serie A Fixtures Announced

Believe it or not, the season kicks off in less than a month.

Call it a sign of the times or an unnecessary indulgence, but today Serie A announced the 2018-2019 fixtures week by week via live stream. If you were one of the dedicated few who followed along with the stream blow by blow, good on you, you’ve got me beat. Nevertheless, after weeks of arguing about transfer rumors and speculating on what tactical changes, if any, Eusebio Di Francesco may make, we know at least know the path Roma will take on their quest to finish behind Juventus.

Behold:

All in all it’s a pretty decent schedule, as Roma faces only three of last season’s top six finishers through the end of October. Of course that means things get a bit harrier as we move to winter, but on the balance of things, the heavyweights are pretty well spread out, and Roma won’t face Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus until nearly Christmas.

Some other fixtures of note:

  • Derby days: September 30 and March 3
  • Old Lady Days: December 22 and May 12
  • Spalletti showdowns: December 2 (Radja’s return to Rome) and April 20
  • Derby del Sole: October 29 and March 31

So, there you have it; plan your “sick days” at work as you see fit, and if you’ll be attending any of the matches in person, take plenty of pictures.
