No matter how you feel about yesterday’s sale of Kevin Strootman; there’s no question that he always represented Roma with class. Though Strootman’s Roma career never turned into what it might’ve thanks to the ups and downs of two ACL surgeries, he endeared himself to Romanista. Strootman gave everything he had whenever he was on the field with the Roma crest on his chest. He battled for the Giallorossi with every last drop of blood, sweat, and tears he possessed. He came to be the epitome of the grinta that we as Roma fans love to see from our players, just like the gladiators of old. Roma fans came to love Strootman and the feeling was mutual. As he prepares to start a new chapter in his career, the Dutchman was sure to thank everyone who supported him during his time at Roma in a series of tweets, which can be seen below. We wish him the best as he embarks on his new adventure at Marseilles.
