Ten Years Gone: Relive Roma’s Last Victory at the Bernabéu

New, comments

It’s been over a decade since Roma has taken three points at Madrid, but Mirko Vucinic provided enough glory to last a thousand years.

With yet another disappointing domestic performance weighing them down, Roma won’t have time to rest on their laurels, not with the 2018-2019 Champions League looming. Of course we all remember last season’s miraculous run through the semi-finals, and while it was disappointing to ultimately miss out on the final, we’ll always have that epic comeback against Barcelona to hang our hats on.

Roma will once again venture to the Iberian peninsula on their quest to become Europe’s best team, but before we figure out how EDF plans to attack the now Ronaldo-less Real Madrid on the road, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at Roma’s most recent victory at the Bernabéu, one that came a decade ago.

I couldn’t find a decent clip package, so I’m throwing the entire match at you! Enjoy the splendor of Rodrigo Taddei’s unbridled smile, not to mention those black kits...ooh mama, those were lovely.

We’ll have our traditional preview tomorrow, but for now enjoy Taddei, Totti and Vucinic in all their glory.
