"Highlights” of Roma's 2-1 Defeat to ‘Gladbach

Roma should have at least netted a draw from this one, but thanks to some lax officiating and a 95th minute goal, they took the L.

When it comes to European matches against German opponents, Roma are actually pretty close to .500—winning 16 and dropping 17—but after nights like this, I hope we never see the Rhineland again. Just as they did in their first leg in late October, Roma held 'Gladbach in check only to be done in by some shoddy officiating, culminating in (once again) a 95th minute goal. Only this time, that death blow was swift and decisive, as Roma walked away undeserved losers of this match, falling all the way to third place in Group J in the process.
