I'm still not crazy about Friday fixtures—mostly because, with no Roma matches to watch on the weekend, it throws my sense of normalcy off—but today's result makes that disruption easier to swallow. Roma fended off a stubborn Fiorentina defense, not to mention 90 minutes worth of rain, to sentence the Viola to their fifth loss in six Serie A matches.
Roma will have more exciting and more definitive victories than this, but today's 4-1 romp over Fiorentina was an exhibition in coaching, patience and execution.
