In the sixth episode of our sparkling new podcast, Across the Romaverse, before delving into this week's fixture list, we do a quick recap of the weekend's Roma action, which was actually a three-for-three clean sweep for the men and women's senior teams and the men's primavera. Roma's winning weekend was punctuated by the Giallorossi's 5-2 beatdown of Benevento, which, despite a few hiccups in the early stages of the match, was precisely the sort of victory Paulo Fonseca needed ahead of a rather compact and tough fixture list coming up.
In addition to going over the finer points of Roma's victory over Benevento, including a surprisingly strong start from Bryan Cristante, we discuss Paulo Fonseca's job security, the influence of the Roman media therein and a preview of Roma's Europa League fixture against Swiss club BSC Young Boys.
I was out sick for this one, so big ups to Sean and Steve for delivering a fantastic and informative look at the latest comings and goings in the Romaverse.
