We can be a bit hyperbolic around these parts from time to time, but the following statement requires no embellishment: Roma dominated Cluj from the first minute to the last minute in their 5-0 Europa League rout earlier this evening. Before the match even had a chance to breathe, the Giallorossi found the back of the net thanks to some brilliant play on the ball from Leonardo Spinazzola and an easy-as-you-like headed goal from Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Pedro capped things off at the other end of the match, putting the finishing flourish on a four-touch move that involved club debutant Tommaso Milanese, who chalked up an assist in his first ever professional appearance.
And with goals in the 24th, 34th and 84th minutes, Roma owned nearly every second of this match, leaving Cluj with little more than one narrow chance at the far post midway through the second half.
Tonight's victory extended Roma's unbeaten run to ten-straight matches in all competitions (for the sake of this sentence, we're including the actual draw against Verona, not the administrative loss handed down by the league) while vaulting the club to the top of Group A with three matches remaining.
So, in case you missed it, feast your eyes on one of the most lopsided victories you'll ever see:
