Prior to kickoff, Paulo Fonseca lamented about the league's decision to have Roma vs. Torino stand as the lone fixture of Matchday 12 taking place on Thursday. While it does make for a tight turnaround before Sunday's match against Atalanta, it has afforded Roma the chance to watch the rest of the round unfold in real-time. And those real-time results have been quite kind to Roma, as all three teams immediately above them on the table (Sassuolo, Napoli, and Juventus) dropped points yesterday.
With a victory today over Torino, Roma can leapfrog Napoli and rejoin Serie A’s top four. The lineups are in, now let’s get to work!
