Highlights of Roma's 3-1 Win Over Young Boys

The match may not have actually mattered, but Roma played like it did—and that's the best part.

Win, lose or draw, tonight's match against BSC Young Boys would likely always been remembered for that goal—Riccardo Calafiori's wonder strike in the 59th minute. With a poor clearance served up on a tee for him, the young full-back struck a volley reminiscent of another Roman famous for his wicked right leg and boisterous celebrations. He may not have the tattoos, the beard or the muscles just yet, but Calafiori's goal—his first senior-level strike—was ripped right from the pages of Daniele De Rossi's book: a powerful and precise one-timed volley from distance.

But it wasn't the evening's only highlight. After succumbing to another Jean-Pierre Nsame goal in the first half, Roma wisely kept their wits about them, battling back to wrest momentum, and eventually the match, back from the boys from Bern.

In doing so, Roma put their weekend nightmares behind them, won their Europa League group and set themselves up nicely for their weekend encounter against Sassuolo.

So, just in case you missed it, here are the extended highlights. Enjoy!
