On an evening filled with uncertainty, there was a certain poetry to Roma riding the back of one of their oldest and most tenured players. Edin Dzeko has had a lot of ups and downs in his five years in Rome, but the numbers speak for themselves. With a little help from Lorenzo Pellegrini and Bryan Cristante, Dzeko notched his 103rd and 104th goals in Roma shirt this evening, lifting the Giallorossi on his back once more and delivering three crucial points.

Sure, it would have been nice if Lazio held up their end of the bargain and beat Atalanta, but from a Roma perspective this match was everything the club needed after three months of uncertainty: they fell behind but never wavered and managed to deliver when it mattered most.

The odds are probably still stacked against Roma claiming fourth place when all is said and done, but moments like this should bolster your faith in this club's future.

So, just in case you missed it, enjoy the Edin Dzeko show.
