Highlights of Roma's Draw with Inter Milan

Hey, it was almost a win. Why not relive it?

Under ordinary circumstances, gutting out a 2-2 draw against the second-best squad in the league is worthy of, maybe not celebration but at least a self satisfying pat on the shoulder, but when you had the lead with roughly 200 seconds left, you kind of expect to walk away with all three points.

That wasn't the case tonight. With the clock sprinting towards the 90th minute, Roma held a slim 2-1 lead and seemed headed for an upset of Antonio Conte and Inter Milan, but thanks to head-scratching decision while clearing the ball and a rash challenge quickly thereafter from Leonardo Spinazzola, Roma conceding a demoralizing penalty to Inter, which Romelu Lukaku converted with ease, snatching two points from Roma with very little time to erase the error.

Outside of that, this was arguably Roma's best performance of the summer. The Giallorossi were equal to Inter in practically every category and played like the top three side many of us thought they were when the season began.
