Yesterday was a banner day for Roma as, after months of speculation, rumor and updates, Dan Friedkin officially took control of our beloved AS Roma. Well, not officially in the strictest sense of the word, the final details have to be sorted and signed by the end of the month. But after nearly ten months of back and forth, the Friedkin Group is set to acquire Roma for a cool €591 million.
But that's a broader concern/cause for celebration, today is all about Roma's Round of 16 match against Sevilla in the Europa League. Both sides are missing a few key components, but in this winner take all match there are no excuses.
Can Roma rise to the occasion?
