Roma's much-publicized switch from Nike to New Balance has been more of a slow-drip than a deluge. Whether it was waylaid by pandemic-induced supply-chain issues or not we can't say, but rather than unveiling their complete line of kits and training gear over the course of a few weeks late in the summer or in conjunction with the Europa Conference League, Roma and New Balance have released their first collaborations slowly but surely since the deal became official in late June/early July.
After playing it safe with basic red home kits and bright white away shirts, New Balance appears to be veering away from that beaten path with their latest release, the “Fourth Kit-ASR Edition.”

After making the rounds on Twitter late last night/early this morning, New Balance and Roma have officially presented the club's fourth kit (even though the thirds haven't been released) moments ago. Featuring the old ASR badge and a Lupetto watermark set against a navy backdrop, these kits are reminiscent of the retro Nike's that took the footballing world by storm two seasons ago. The shirts also feature alternating yellow and red horizontal stripes that one might describe as awkwardly placed.
It seems a bit odd that Roma would make a fourth kit available before the third kit, so maybe they have something up their sleeves?
Either way, tell us what you think of these new kits.
