It’s been nearly ten years since anyone not named Juventus could call themselves Serie A Champions and over a decade since Inter lifted the Scudetto. That was until last weekend when Inter Milan officially became the 2020-2021 champions under the guidance of Antonio Conte. The last time Inter won the title, its manager was none other than Roma’s next manager: José Mourinho.
So, with Roma traveling to the San Siro to square off against the newly crowned champions, I thought this would be the perfect time to take a deep dive on both the current Inter side under Conte and the last great Inter side under Mourinho.
To talk all things Inter and Mourinho, I brought on Alex Donno, host of Man of the Match on On Side Radio and Five Reasons Sports in Miami, studio host of Inter Miami CF, and the great calcio podcast Calcio Connection.
Tune into this episode to hear Alex weigh in on the following and so much more:
- Inter’s strengths and needs to be more competitive in Europe
- The sustainability of this project under Conte
- The last Scudetto winner under Mourinho
- What made Mourinho and his Inter side special?
- Comparing and contrasting Conte and Mourinho
- His reaction to the Mourinho hire as an Inter fan and Serie A fan
- Would he be excited as a Romanista?
- What he take The Special One back at Inter?
