Let's see how far into this I can get without mentioning José Mourinh...oh, *%&@, never mind. It goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway: the José Mourinho to Roma story has completely pushed everything else in the Romaverse to the back shelf. After all, it's not every day that Roma signs arguably the most famous and controversial football manager of the 21st century.
But, despite the new manager waiting in the wings, Roma has five matches remaining with Paulo Fonseca at the helm, the first of which is today's Europa League semifinal against Manchester United, who are, ironically, one of Mourinho's most recent clubs.
Facing a four-goal deficit and an incredibly beleaguered squad, Fonseca will have to conjure a miracle out of thin air, but I suppose stranger things have happened, right?
The lineups are in, so let's get down to business!
