The transfer market hasn’t officially opened yet, but the mercato rumors have come fast and furious in recent days. With Jose Mourinho set to takeover before the start of the new campaign, it was inevitable that Roma would be linked with plenty of former Mourinho players. However, in recent days it isn’t former players of Mourinho’s that the Giallorossi has been most closely linked with.

In fact, the two targets that look like their arrivals in Rome are becoming more imminent by the day are Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka and Wolverhampton’s Rui Patricio—two former Premier League opponents of The Special One.

With Roma likely to strengthen the spine of the team with those two potential signings, a striker, and even a second midfielder, Roma’s could look very different down the middle of the pitch when the new campaign kicks off.

In this episode, Sean and I discuss all of the latest news and rumors, including:

  • Muarizio Costanzo’s arrival and role
  • Lorenzo Pellegrini’s injury and Liverpool links
  • A potential Xhaka deal and the Swiss’ role
  • New rumors linking Marcel Sabitzer
  • Would a double midfield swoop be the end of Jordan Veretout in Rome?
  • Javier Pastore working on an exit
  • Rui Patricio and Gigi Donnarumma links
  • Pau Lopez to Atletico?
  • Milan giving up on Belotti?
  • What kind of player would Gallo be for the Giallorossi?
  • Justin Kluivert and Cengiz Under: Do they have roles under Mou?
  • Agnese Bonfantini heading to Juve?
  • And much, much more...

So give us a listen and be sure to get your mercato and other questions in for next week’s episode.
