While we await further news on the health of Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, Euro 2020 moves into day three, one that will see action spread between London, Amsterdam, and Bucharest. Sunday's fixtures feature two legitimate title contenders in England and the Netherlands and plenty of interesting matchups and plotlines spread throughout the Croatian, Austrian, Ukrainian, and North Macedonian training camps.

In an unfortunate scheduling quirk, the day's first matchup is arguably the juiciest.

Mason Mount, Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and the rest of the Three Lions will likely have revenge on their mind when they welcome Croatia to Wembley today. England's quest to bring football home seemed primed for success at World Cup 2018 until they fell to Luka Modric and Croatia in penalties in the semi-finals, ending a dream run for Gareth Southgate and his vast collection of waistcoats.

This is likely to be the match of the day, so set your alarms west coasters!

While there are no immediate Roma connections in this Group C matchup, Giallorossi fans will want to pay special attention to Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer. The wantaway RB Leipzig player is rumored to be a transfer target for José Mourinho and Roma and may even showcase his versatility today by playing forward. As for North Macedonia, Roma fans can relive their disdain for Goran Pandev, who scored four goals in twenty-eight matches against the Giallorossi during his days with Ancona, Lazio, Napoli, Inter Milan, and Genoa.

Netherlands vs. Ukraine

One of the hottest free agents to ever hit the Bosman market, Memphis Depay will lead the line for the Oranje as they play host to Ruslan Malinovskiy and Ukraine. These two nations have only met twice since 2008, with the Netherlands winning a 3-0 friendly in ‘08 before playing to a 1-1 draw in 2010. Depay will be joined by Wout Weghorst, Giorgio Wijnaldum, and Marten de Roon, among others, in an incredibly exciting Dutch side. Ukraine will have their work cut out for them, but snatching a point in Amsterdam could very well set them on the path to the knockout stages.
