Embodying the timeless colors of the Eternal City itself, AS Roma is often considered among the most stylish clubs in world football. Whether they're popping collars, donning a sash across the chest, or running around in makeshift chainmail, the Giallorossi are not only one of the best-looking clubs in football, they're arguably the most fashion-forward club in all of sport. Even slapping the name of an airline across the chest can't derail Roma's killer aesthetic—the club's looks, much like the city itself, are timeless.
While not every Roma fan was quick to fawn over Nike when they became the club's kit supplier in 2014, more often than not, Nike delivered the goods, gifting Roma fans with some truly sensational shirts over the years. But, even with Roma's classic appeal, the Nikeheads among us were worried when the club announced they were prematurely ending their pact with the sporting behemoth following the 2020-2021 season.
From Adidas to Puma to Castore and even our longing for Jordan Brand, Roma's post-Nike options were seemingly limitless. But rather than chasing the bright lights and quick cash offered by more established footballing brands, Roma hitched their wagons to New Balance in a deal that could potentially net the club more money in the long run.
The Massachusetts-based manufacturer is no stranger to running aficionados, but they're a relative newcomer to global football. With a roster of clients that included Liverpool, Lille, and Porto, New Balance has dabbled in the beautiful game over the past several years, but with Liverpool leaving them for Nike last year, New Balance was suddenly in need of a new marquee client—and in stepped Roma, who assumed the mantle as New Balance’s top priority.
And moments ago, the first-ever Roma-New Balance collaboration was unveiled to the public.

We've now reached the end of the objective portion of this article. These kits are...fine...but after so many weeks and months of speculation and anticipation, they fall a bit flat, don't they? It's literally just a red t-shirt with yellow trim; almost feels like they pulled samples off the floor from their last Liverpool kit.
The good news is—if the rumors are true—that New Balance and Roma have three more chances to impress as the club will reportedly sport four different kits this season.
While we wait for the rest of the line to drop, give us your first impressions.
