As Romanisti, we all must be forgiven for our unbridled joy at Roma beating down probably the worst team in this year’s Serie A ranks. However, we’d all seen that movie before. The one where Roma comes up against a much weaker opponent who parks the bus, frustrating the Giallorossi into either a nil-nil draw or perhaps even a shocking 1-0 result. And that’s where this one against Serie A new boys Salernitana looked to be heading in the first half.
Yet, this wasn’t the same old Roma remaking the same old film. In fact, this looked like a completely different Giallorossi side, as they thoroughly beat down the hosts in Salerno on Sunday night. It was another inspired performance for Mourinho’s side after it hammered Trabzonspor Thursday at the Olimpico. So, you can’t blame us for being in such high spirits so early in the season.
In this episode, we break down the win over Salernitana and give some updates on the end of Roma’s transfer market, which included a much wanted but still surprising departure. So, join us and listen in and as always let us know your thoughts in the comments section and on social media.
