After league play was halted after only two rounds for the latest batch of World Cup qualifiers, Serie A resumed this weekend with a handful of wild fixtures already, including Napol upending Juventus and Fiorentina toppling Atalanta thanks to a pair of Dusan Vlahovic penalties. With the preceding nine matches done and dusted, Roma has the honor of closing out Matchday Three as they welcome Sassuolo to Stadio Olimpico.
Roma and Sassuolo have built up a bit of a rivalry over the past few years, so in his 1,000th match as a manager, José Mourinho will have his work cut out for him. However, if Roma can make it five wins from five matches, the Gialloross could go to the top of the table with a convincing victory over the Neroverdi this evening.
The lineups are in and kick-off is drawing close, so let's see if The Special One can notch a W in his 1,000th match on the touchline.
