On Sunday, Edin Dzeko scored a stunner of a goal to get Roma’s 2018-2109 campaign started on this right foot. Now just days later, reports have emerged that a new deal could be in the works for the big Bosnian. Dzeko has been a fixture in the Roma XI under multiple coaches and emerged as a force in his time in the Italian Capital. Since his arrival from Manchester City in 2015 for a total of €15 million, Dzeko has scored 74 goals in 130 Roma appearances. Now it looks like that time could be extended and that goal total will continue to climb for a bit longer.

According to reports, Dzeko will be offered a raise to €5 million per season and an extra year of contract. The 32 year old’s contract currently expires in June 2020. Dzeko was instrumental in Roma’s Champions League semi-finals run last season, after turning down an offer from Chelsea in January. Now it appears that his loyalty to the Giallorossi will be rewarded.
