Across the Romaverse Podcast, #54: Abraham Arrives

With the Euros and Copa America in full swing, the early stages of this summer on the mercato were relatively quiet. Of course, Roma was forced to bring in a goalkeeper (Rui Patricio) and left-back (Matias Viña) right after the conclusion of those summer tournaments, albeit for different reasons. All of the other Roma mercato news became a redundant barrage of seemingly endless Xhaka updates and rumors of where Roma’s deadweight could go.

However, the last couple of weeks have seen things pick up and in a way perhaps none of us could’ve imagined. First, we had the surprise move for Eldor Shomurodov, which got Roma Twitter and our message boards buzzing. Now, Tiago Pinto has found a way to really push the needle and create plenty of chatter across the Romaverse by agreeing to a big move for Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham.

So, with the big news breaking this week Sean and I are back to discuss the move and this time around Jimmy joins us for his first ATR appearance.
