Reports out of Italy today suggest that Roma could be lining a move for AC Milan man Giacomo “Jack” Bonaventura. Reports suggest that Eusebio Di Francesco is a fan of the 28 year old Italy international’s tactical flexibility. Bonaventura is able to play in various roles, including in the central midfield, as well as, out wide in attack; two positions that Roma could look to reinforce this summer.

This season Bonaventura has scored 7 goals and 3 assists in 31 Serie A appearances this season and carries an average player rating of 7.05, according to whoscored.com. The Milan man has a lot of Serie A experience having previously played for Atalanta, and some European experience in the Europa League as well.

At 28 Bonaventura is in the prime of his career and could contribute immediately, as Roma will look to challenge for the Scudetto next season, while remaining competitive in the Champions League, as well. Bonaventura won’t come cheap though, as reports suggest that his current value is around 35 million Euros. Will Monchi gift wrap EDF a “Jack” in the box? Only time will tell but it seems to be a story worth monitoring.
