Poll: Who's Your Leftback vs Bologna?

New, comments

Roma's injuries woes are mounting, leaving Rudi Garcia with a tough decision as he chooses his starting leftback for Saturday's Bologna match. But, since its his birthday, we'll give Rudi a rest, and leave the decision to you.

We'll discuss this in greater detail during the match preview, but with Maicon joining Federico Balzaretti and Dodo on the injury list, Roma's options at fullback for Saturday's away fixture at Bologna are exceedingly thin.

In the wake of the injuries to Balzaretti and Dodo, Vasilis Torosidis has done an admirable job, turning in above average performances against Livorno and, most recently, Sampdoria, but he's logged some heavy minutes since New Year's Day, going the full 90 seven times since January 9th alone. Making matters worse, prior to his January 5th substitution against Juventus, he hadn't even featured since October, meaning his once well-rested legs have been taxed quite heavily since then.

Roma did bring in some defensive reinforcements, however. Though the extent to which one considers Michel Bastos or Rafael Toloi left backs is a debate in semantics. And while Alessio Romagnoli or Rodrigo Taddei can ostensibly fill that role for 90 minutes, one is untested, while the other is aging.

Faced with situations such as these, Rudi Garcia's 50th birthday celebration might be a bit muted, so, to pass the time until Saturday, give us your thoughts.
